How to associate a Token to receive NFT's using Xact Wallet

This guide will help walk you through associating a token on the Xact Wallet, which allows you to receive tokens using Hedera Token Service (HTS). It only takes a few minutes to associate a token, and after you’ve done it once it’s easy. This guide assumes that you already have Xact wallet setup. If you haven’t already done this, you can follow the guide to setup your wallet here.

Step 1 - Open Xact Wallet, and slide the Send Hbar card left

Step 2 - Tap 'Your NFTs' card

Step 3 - Tap 3 dot menu

In the upper right hand corner, tap the 3 dots to associate a new token.

Step 4 - Tap Associate Token

Tap ‘Associate Token’ option in the menu

Step 5 - Type in Token ID

In the text field ‘0.0.****’ type in the address of the token you want to associate. In our case, we have 2 tokens we want to associate. First, type in the address of our premier study NFT: 0.0.586831

5. a - Approve

Then hit the ‘Approve’ button.

Wait for it to load, then tap ‘OK’

There is a small fee for associating a token, but we sent everyone in the study enough hbar to cover the cost.

Step 6 - Repeat Steps 3 - 5

Now that you have associated our NFT, it’s time to associate Recerca, our native cryptocurrency. Repeat steps 3 to 5, but use this address 0.0.586965

Step 7 - Go Back to Home

Great! Now that you’ve associated the tokens, all that’s left is to copy your public wallet ID in the form below. To do this, tap the back arrow.

7 a - Swipe Left

Drag the ‘Your NFTs’ card left to access the ‘Receive HBAR’ card.

Step 8 - Tap Receive HBAR card

Your account is now ready to receive your First Edition Premier Study NFT and 10 Recerca tokens.

8 a - Copy Wallet

Tap the ‘Copy Address’ button, and paste your 8 digit address in the form below to let us know you’re ready to receive your Tokens!

Step 9 - Paste or Type Address in the form below

Congratulations, your account is now ready to receive your First Edition Premier Study NFT and 10 Recerca tokens. We’ll send you your tokens within 48 hours of you pasting your address here!
